Stream the ‘Wish I Was Here’ Soundtrack

On July 18, Zach Braff’s followup to his directorial debut Garden State hits screens. The film, titled Wish I Was Here, deals with parent struggles, modern day woes, and, of course, a handful of great tunes. In a way, this film has been more hyped up for its soundtrack than for its plot, most of which has to do with why people love Garden State, too. Today the new soundtrack can be streamed in full along with Braff’s commentary.

We’ve already heard Bon Iver’s return-to-studio hit and the collaboration between Cat Power and Coldplay, but now we get to hear The Head and the Heart, Badly Drawn Boy, and, of course, The Shins. Speaking of, Braff’s commentary on the song choices is pretty neat to hear, if only for the part where he mentions he and The Shins had “a wonderful coming out party together” — no, not like that.
