Kendrick Lamar has shared the cover art for his highly anticipated new album, which will be titled To Pimp A Butterfly, presumably in reference to Harper Lee’s iconic novel, To Kill A Mockingbird. Check out the politically charged artwork by following the jump below, and let us know what you think in the replies.
A follow-up to 2012’s Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City, the Compton native’s latest offering will be comprised of 17 brand new tracks, and is expected to hit shelves on March 23 via Interscope/Aftermath. Pre-orders are available now.
In case you missed it, you can stream the album’s lead single, “The Blacker The Berry,” here.
