Drake caught fans by surprise when he chose to release “Hold On We’re Going Home” as the second single from his latest album, Nothing Was The Same. Some supporters thought the rap-free track was an indicator the Canadian had fallen off the rap game, but the album’s release proved that notion to be entirely false. The truth of the matter is Drake knew how good the song was and followed his gut in pushing it as a promotional single. It worked, and the song now sits in heavy rotation at radio.
