Under The Gun sent photographer, Tori Thomas to photograph The End of The World Tour featuring Mayday Parade, We The Kings, The Downtown Fiction, and Anarbor in Grand Rapids, MI on February 29th.

The crowd was packed with everyone anticipating a fun, energetic evening. And that’s truly what they got! I’ve seen every band on this tour, besides The Downtown Fiction. I was expecting nothing but fantastic from Mayday Parade, We The Kings, and Anarbor, and that’s what they did! Anarbor was up first for performing, and I expected nothing but amazing from them. I’ve seen them multiple times and this time was one of the best. I’m positive they gained more fans from their performance. Up next was The Downtown Fiction, which I have never seen live (I’ve listened to some of their music before) and they did good. There were definitely some younger fans in the crowd rooting for TDF, judging by the high-pitched screams. None-the-less, they performed great.

Third up was We The Kings, who I’ve seen 5+ times live and know they can put on a great show! This time was different, their drummer Danny broke his arm a previous day and was unable to play the set normally. The band decided instead of canceling a show (they made a promise not to), they would perform acoustic. Fans didn’t mind at all; they were singing along to every word. It then came time for the headliner to hit the stage, Mayday Parade. Fans were eagerly awaiting their performance and when the band came on stage, the crowd was roaring. I’ve seen Mayday Parade 5+ times as well, and this time, they really out did themselves. This was the best performance I have seen from them! Their set was energetic and interpersonal. While Derek Sanders was performing “Miserable At Best” he left the stage to leave the fans to sing the rest of the song, and the crowd sang the last chorus without a flaw. This show was exceptionally good, if you every have the chance to see these bands live, you definitely should!
